This selection of poetry by female authors explores our relationship with God and creation. The collection includes many of the greatest women poets of history, from around the world and across the ages: from a Rwandan housewife to a Japanese princess, from Christian saints to classical Indian mystics. Their shared faith and delight in God, prayer, and the hope of paradise is tempered by their fears of death, loss and loneliness. Here the reader can ‘fish the pools of Love’ to find God, and encounter a ‘stiller peace’.
